Taig-framaidh le Similear/Centre Chimney House

c.1829 The Macdonal House was built in 1829 and relocated to the Highland Village in the 1970's. It is referred to as a centre chimney house because of the large stone flue that rises through the centre providing structural support to the building as well as fireplaces in the parlour and kitchen. This was a very common style in the early to mid 1800's. This house was built by Allan MacDonald in Stewartdale, near Whycocomagh.
